It may also be helpful to research the school and the program to which you are applying, as this will demonstrate your interest and knowledge.

2. Confidence and Communication Skills

During the interview, confidence and clear communication are critical. Speak slowly and clearly, enunciating each word. Make eye contact with the interviewer, and use appropriate body language to convey your confidence and enthusiasm. Remember, the interviewer wants to get to know you, so be yourself!

3. Grammar and Punctuation

Good grammar and proper punctuation are essential for effective communication. Familiarize yourself with basic grammar rules, such as subject-verb agreement and verb tenses. Additionally, pay attention to punctuation marks such as commas, periods, and semicolons, as they can significantly affect the meaning of your words. If possible, practice your speech or writing in front of a mirror or with a friend to catch any mistakes.

4. Show Your Interest and Knowledge

To stand out from other candidates, it's important to demonstrate your interest in the program and your knowledge of the school. Research the school's values, mission, and programs, and use this information to frame your answers during the interview. For example, you might talk about why you are drawn to the school's emphasis on community service or its innovative teaching methods.

每个学校对面试的设计都不尽相同，一般时间基本维持在10分钟左右，由学校的中方英语老师，外方英语老师甚至是外方校长亲自担当面试官进行全英文的面试。一般面试题目都围绕个人介绍，兴趣爱好，学术背景以及课外活动等话题。但面试官们有时候也会问一些让学生出其不意的问题，这个对于英语口语能力一般的初三孩子来说，就会有比较大的障碍。

面试过程中，老师重点考查的是，学生英文的Fluency（流利度），Vocabulary（词汇），Grammar（语法），以及 Pronunciation（发音），类似于雅思口语考试的评分体系，因此面试口语能力的考查对学生有较高的要求，建议学生提早对面试做好有针对性的准备。
